Ruston High School (Ruston, Louisiana) will soon have a new logo.

Rutgers University took legal action against Ruston’s Block “R” logo, saying it owns the rights to the symbolic “R”; however the logo has been on many buildings of Ruston High school for years.

Locals, of course, are very upset with Rutgers.

Ruston signed a non-disclosure agreement with the university, and it agreed to phase out the school’s “R” branding over the next 10 years.

“We’re hoping to have that finalized over the next couple of weeks, maybe the next couple of months,” says Ricky Durrett, Lincoln schools supervisor of secondary education. “The end of August was the goal to get us a new one done.”

Sadly, this will likely be Rutgers only win of the season.
