Ryan Leaf's projected SEC standings sure to make Alabama fans unhappy
Ryan Leaf may be most known for being the No. 2 overall pick in the 1998 NFL Draft to the San Diego Chargers behind Peyton Manning to the Indianapolis Colts.
But now he could be most known for being a prognosticator, and a pretty good contrarian at least in terms of SEC picks for the season standings.
Of course the shocker is Alabama being picked third in the SEC West, and having 2 losses. Ole Miss being ahead of the Crimson Tide, and presumably because of the tiebreaker, is another eyebrow raiser. Perhaps Leaf was influenced by a recent visit to Oxford where he gave a motivational speech to Lane Kiffin’s program.
The SEC East, however, is more conventional at least compared to other preseason rankings.
This could be a clip ‘n save moment to refer back to Leaf’s picks at the end of the season to see how close he is in August.
