Georgia stayed the course, Alabama avoided an upset, ranked teams Kentucky and Mississippi State fell to unranked SEC foes … but on Saturday night there was only one hashtag rippling through the SEC universe: #FireDanMullen.
Florida’s blowout loss at South Carolina sent Gators fans to their keyboards in full force, even as the game was going on:
SCar please pulverize the gators into the ground so bad that they simply have no choice but to #FireDanMullen and old Toddy boi. Thank you.

The Gators trailed 40-10 at one point in an undoubted low point of the Mullen tenure in Gainesville:
The Dan Mullen-Todd Grantham experience at the UF has to come to an end. We have seen enough. Time to move on. Get a jump start on coaching search and hopefully some better recruiting-transfers. Thank you for the good memories. #Gators #firedanmullen #FireGrantham

UF fans seem to feel that a coaching change is inevitable:
Some of the most fun I’ve had as a gator fan over the last 11 years is that period where a firing is inevitable and that’s pretty sad

One Twitter poster reminded others how to direct their ire:
In All Kinds of Weather means supporting your team 24/7, good or bad. It is 100% ok to blast a top 5 paid coach for this crap fest! Dont @ players or recruits! #fireDanMullen pic.twitter.com/XXzJVD8tJg

It seems clear, Gators fans are fed up:
Not even a tourniquet can stop the bleeding in Gainesville right now #GoGators #SECNation #SECFootball #FireDanMullen

And the Boilermakers pulled it off against No. 3 Michigan State, followed by a storm-the-field moment including some folks in costumes:

Quite a few people in costumes, actually. Didn’t anybody tell these spectators that Halloween was last weekend?

Cincinnati remained unbeaten but, for the third week in a row, did not look impressive against a team with a losing record:

Our old friend #SurrenderCobra made an appearance — where else but Lincoln, Nebraska, site of yet another close Cornhuskers loss:

Arizona broke its 20-game losing streak with a win over depleted Cal, which led to a tie-in regarding a certain NFL quarterback and former Golden Bears star:
Tough loss for Cal, it was close enough that they probably win it with Aaron Rodgers at QB, but he’s not allowed to play this week.

Air Force, which defeated Navy earlier this season, had a chance to clinch the Commander in Chief’s Trophy but lost to Army:

Maryland fans endured yet another loss to Penn State. If you have to lose, do it in style. Just not this style:

Finally, some folks at the Ole Miss-Liberty game had their Spidey Senses tingling:

Didn’t we just tell you that Halloween was last wee … oh, forget it. If wearing a costume can help stave off sadness, so be it. Right, Gators fans?
