Sad fan fandom has reached a point where somebody becomes viral every week. Shirtless FSU guy is … well, so last week.

Step right up, #LSUgirl:

It became a thing — actually, it became a meme — even before the LSU-Alabama game ended on Saturday in Baton Rouge:

Compared to her, this poor kid seems joyful:

Yes, there was a pall cast over Death Valley:

It was a time for contemplation:

A lot of contemplation:

Earlier in the day, in Lexington, Kentucky’s dreams of a Cinderella run to the SEC Championship Game ended sadly against Georgia:

A long wait for a game of this magnitude for Kentucky felt even longer:

It was a bummer of a day for blue-clad fans:

But at least their Surrender Cobra game was strong:

And there was a round of synchronized Surrender Cobras for Texas fans when their team lost late against West Virginia:

Florida, which got blown out at home against Missouri, once had a guy named Will Grier at QB:

And the Homecoming game did not sell out (to be fair, the final crowd count was about 80,000):

There were enough empty seats for Gators coach Dan Mullen to notice:

Finally, let’s give a cheer for two teams whose long, sad losing streaks came to an end.

First, bid farewell to the longest skid in the FBS after UTEP defeated Rice to end a 20-game nightmare:

And perennial FCS doormat VMI had lost 25 in a row before defeating Division II Tusculum:

That was just a little perspective for any fans overly sad about the prospect of a 9-3 or 10-2 season.
