Rivalry Weekend. There’s nothing better, is there?

There are some huge conference games for the SEC in Week 14, and SDS is going to break down who’s savoring the spotlight.

SEC East

Arkansas at Missouri: A lot is on the line Friday afternoon in Columbia as a surging Arkansas team squares off with Missouri. If the Tigers win, they’ll earn their second straight SEC East title and a trip to Atlanta. However, the Razorbacks are on a roll, having produced two consecutive shutouts of ranked opponents. If Bret Bielema’s team can upset the Mizzou and win its third straight, the folks in Athens will be forever thankful.

Florida at Florida State: Another game with postseason implications as the Gators head north to Tallahassee and Doak Campbell Stadium to face the Seminoles, who find ways to keep winning. It’s Will Muschamp’s last game leading the boys of ‘Ol Florida, and he’ll lead what’s sure to be an inspired team looking to ruin its archrival’s season.

SEC West

Mississippi State at Ole Miss: One of college football’s oldest rivalries is renewed on Saturday afternoon as the Bulldogs and Rebels will face off for the 111th time. Ole Miss returns home following an embarrassing loss to Arkansas, and is riddled with injuries. The Landshark defense is good enough to keep the Rebels in the game, but Dak Prescott and company provide a stiff test. Mississippi State is barely hanging on to its No. 4 spot in the College Football Playoff, and a loss on Saturday afternoon would eliminate it.

Auburn at Alabama: All eyes will be on Tuscaloosa on Saturday night as No. 15 Auburn takes on No. 1 Alabama. The Crimson Tide are rolling since its early-October loss to Ole Miss, while Auburn comes in reeling having lost two of its last three. It’s strength on strength inside Bryant-Denny Stadium, however, as one of the game’s best offenses faces the nation’s second-best defense.
