Scooby Williams is staying in the SEC.

Williams committed to Texas A&M on Saturday evening. He joins a rapidly-growing group of Texas A&M transfer additions who have committed to the Aggies this week.

Williams carved out a consistent role with the Gators in 2023 and will now bring that experience to College Station.

Williams was a major recruiting win for UF back in 2021. He was a 4-star prospect and the No. 74 overall player in the country for that cycle, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He was also the No. 5 edge in that class.

Last season was Williams’ most productive in college to date. He collected 53 tackles, 4 tackles for loss and 1 sack for the Gators in 2023. He was also credited with 2 forced fumbles.

Texas A&M has now added 15 transfers this offseason, including several in the last couple of days. Williams joins former Florida defensive back Jaydon Hill in making the transition from Gainesville to College Station.

Williams will have 2 seasons of eligibility remaining with Texas A&M.
