Sebastian Maniscalco reaction: College GameDay picker called out for knowing nothing about football
By Adam Spencer
Published:
Sebastian Maniscalco, a comedian and actor, was the celebrity guest picker for Saturday’s edition of ESPN’s College GameDay.
Maniscalco admitted that he knew nothing about college football, and that was clear during the picks segment, when he at one point picked Texas Tech to win the Bedlam rivalry game between Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.
Naturally, that schtick didn’t go over so well with some diehard college football fans out there. Maniscalco was widely panned as among the worst guest pickers ever.
Here’s some of the reaction to this week’s celebrity guest picker segment on Twitter:
Sebastian Maniscalco is the worst guest picker in the history of ever

I get that he’s only there for a publicity stunt, but having Sebastian Maniscalco as guest picker say “I literally know nothing about college football” is cringeworthy. #collegegameday

Why on earth is Sebastian Maniscalco the celebrity guest picker? At least get someone somewhat knowledgable about college football.

We’ll see how his picks fare this week, but it’s safe to say Texas Tech won’t be winning Bedlam this year.
