It didn’t take long for Freddie Swain to make an impact in the top-10 matchup between Florida and Auburn on Saturday, as the wide receiver took a quick slant pass from Kyle Trask and broke free for a 64-yard touchdown on the second play of the game.

For his efforts in the win against the Tigers — Swain finished with a career high six receptions for 146 yards — he has been named the SEC Offensive Player of the Week.

Missouri linebacker Cale Garrett turned in another dominant performance Saturday with six tackles and two INTs, including returning one of those for a touchdown. Unfortunately, it was revealed that in his impressive performance he also suffered a season-ending injury.

The SEC also honored four other players:

  • Special teams: Rodrigo Blankenship, Georgia
  • Offensive line: Ben Brown, Ole Miss
  • Defensive line: Derrick Brown, Auburn
  • Freshman: John Rhys Plumlee, Ole Miss
