The SEC posted some of its best attendance numbers of the season in Week 11, as all six host teams reached at least 86 percent capacity in their home stadiums, while four hit 99.9 percent capacity or higher.

No. 1 Mississippi State had the best attendance numbers this weekend as the only SEC home team to exceed stadium capacity in Week 11. The Bulldogs drew the third-largest crowd of the weekend with more than 61,400 fans, exceeding Davis Wade Stadium’s 61,337 fan capacity. Only LSU and Texas A&M drew larger crowds, as both teams sold out what turned out to be the two best games of the weekend in the conference.

LSU drew the SEC’s largest crowd in Week 11 with 102,321 fans on hand to watch the Tigers fall short in overtime against Alabama on their Senior Night. Auburn sold out its eighth consecutive home game by packing 87,451 fans into Jordan-Hare Stadium to watch their team lost a heartbreaker to Texas A&M.

Ole Miss came within 34 fans of a sellout crowd (seriously, just 34 fans out of more than 60,000), resulting in a 99.9 percent capacity crowd for the Rebels’ 48-0 victory over Presbyterian.

Kentucky and Vanderbilt both failed to reach 90 percent capacity for their home games over the weekend. The Wildcats only reached 89 percent capacity for their Senior Day festivities against Georgia on Saturday, but the 11 percent of fans absent from the stadium were fortunate to miss UK’s 63-31 loss to the Bulldogs.

Vanderbilt had the smallest crowd of the weekend with 35,191 fans, reaching just 86,8 percent of Vanderbilt Stadium’s capacity. However, the Commodores did draw 5,000 more fans than they did for a Week 10 home game against Old Dominion.
