SEC baseball will adjust schedule and division format in 2025, per report
By Keith Farner
Published:
SEC baseball will experience some adjustment once Oklahoma and Texas join the league.
Beginning in 2025, Kendall Rogers of D1 Baseball reported that the regular season schedule would be 2 series each season against permanent opponents, and there will be 8 series against rotating opponents for 30 games. There will also be a single division.
This news immediately sparked speculation and reaction about potential future pairings, such as Texas and Oklahoma paired with Texas A&M or Arkansas.
This will also stoke some rivalries and travel developments that will take some getting used to across the league.
Similar to football, there should be some unbalanced pairings that coaches will offer candid reactions to once they’re announced.
