SEC bound? 2023 ATH, major SEC target from Nashville, decommits from B1G program
Demitrius Bell, a wide receiver from Nashville, committed to Michigan State in June.
However, on Tuesday, the 2023 recruit, who carries an ATH designation on 247Sports, announced that he has reopened his recruitment.
“First and foremost, I would like to thank Michigan State and the whole coaching staff for believing in me and giving me [an] opportunity to pursue my academic and football career…After countless talks with my family, I will be decommitting from Michigan State University and exploring my options!” he wrote.
Bell pledged to Michigan State on June 8, a day before he camped with Tennessee, who offered him on May 30. On June 25, he was offered by Alabama, and on Wednesday, he received another SEC offer, this one coming from Mississippi State.
Per 247’s Composite ranking, he is a 4-star recruit, rated as the No. 11 player in the Volunteer State.
