The SEC Championship Game get-in ticket price is much greater than the other Power 5 championship games this weekend.

According to Gametime, a get-in ticket for the SEC Championship in Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Saturday will cost you $533. The second-most expensive is the ACC Championship at $88, followed by the Big 12 at $71, the Big Ten at $58 and the Pac-12 at just $42.

The price for the SEC Championship game is more than twice as much as the rest of the Power 5 conference title games combined.

It’s fair to say that the SEC Championship game is one of the most consequential for the College Football Playoff. If Georgia wins, it will undoubtedly reach the Playoff, but Alabama needs a win and some help from around the country to get into the Playoff.

The only other conference championship game being played between two Playoff contenders is the Pac-12 Championship between Washington and Oregon in Las Vegas on Friday. If Oregon can avenge its loss to the undefeated Huskies, the Ducks would very likely find themselves in the Playoff.

Florida State can’t afford a slip up in the ACC Championship against Louisville on Saturday if it wants to reach the Playoff — same is the case for Michigan in the Big Ten Championship against Iowa.

Texas, like Alabama, needs a big win over Oklahoma State in the Big 12 Championship along with some help elsewhere to reach the Playoff.
