SEC football surpasses B1G in minutes watched across major networks this season
The SEC is king.
Despite fewer games on major, rated networks, SEC football has surpassed the B1G as the No. 1 conference for minutes watched this season.
It has to be thought the strong play of Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, LSU and Kentucky has to do with this rise, though Tennessee’s sudden ascent to the upper echelon of teams is likely the majority variable.
Some conference ratings shifts in 2022. The SEC has surpassed the Big Ten to rank as the #1 conference in minutes watched this season, despite fewer games on rated networks.
