SEC Nation announced on Saturday that it will be heading to Knoxville, Tennessee for Week 8’s rivalry matchup between the Tennessee Volunteers and the Alabama Crimson Tide. All sign point to this being a top 15, perhaps top 10 matchup with major implications in the race to the SEC Championship game.

The Third Saturday in October is once again a proper rivalry. The Crimson Tide owned the Volunteers for 15 straight years before Tennessee finally broke the streak in 2022. Alabama took last year’s contest and looks to begin yet another streak next Saturday.

But it’ll be tough. Tennessee’s defense is for real, and the Alabama defense has left a lot to be desired. Tennessee has yet to full figure out their passing attack, but having the Neyland Stadium crowd on their side could make life difficult for Alabama QB Jalen Milroe, too.

All that to say: We’re in for a good one.

Week 8 is packed to the gills with fantastic matchups. Georgia-Texas comes to mind, as does Michigan-Illinois, Indiana-Nebraska and LSU-Arkansas.

Tennessee and Alabama are set to kick off at 3:30 p.m. from Neyland Stadium. The game will be broadcast live on ABC and ESPN+.
