In the SEC, games are won and lost in the trenches, which means you’d better have a good offensive line.

Therefore, it should be no surprise that many of the teams in the mix to win the SEC East and West have some elite players up front.

On Thursday at SEC Media Days, analyst Cole Cubelic joined “SEC This Morning” and discussed the top five offensive lines in the conference. Starting with Georgia, here’s how he ranks them:

  1. Georgia
  2. Alabama
  3. Mizzou
  4. Auburn
  5. LSU

Cubelic wasn’t exactly sold on LSU at No. 5, but he said there are a lot of teams that will have question marks along the offensive line this fall.

The five teams he listed have NFL talent up front, and that goes a long way against some of the elite defensive linemen they’ll be tasked with blocking this year.
