The 2020 season is still a couple of months away (hopefully), but as we build momentum toward Week 1, predictions are coming in from analysts across the country.

On Wednesday, SEC Network analyst Cole Cubelic made his picks for the College Football Playoff field and the national champion.

Speaking with 247Sports’ Brandon Marcello, Cubelic named 3 teams he thinks are for sure in the Playoff, then named a pair of Big Ten squads he thinks can challenge for the fourth spot:

“I think Clemson’s in,” Cubelic said. “I think Alabama’s in. I have to say Ohio State’s in. I think Penn State is going to be a really good football team. I think Minnesota is going to be good again.”

Cubelic then went on to say he thinks Clemson will win the title, as Ohio State lost a lot of talent from last year’s squad:

“Clemson is winning the national championship,” Cubelic said. “I think Ohio State lost way too much up front, and it’s not just Chase Young.”

Will Cubelic’s predictions prove correct? We’ll see what happens when the season begins this fall.
