The SEC is full of places that are no fun for opposing teams to play.

From Kyle Field in College Station to The Swamp in Gainesville, the conference has more than its fair share of intimidating fields from east to west.

However, when SEC Network analyst Chris Doering, a former Florida wide receiver, was asked to pick which stadiums provided the best home-field advantages, he named the four that stood out the most.

Starting with LSU and ending with Mississippi State at No. 4, here are the stadiums Doering picked on this SEC Network segment:

  1. LSU
  2. Tennessee
  3. Texas A&M
  4. Mississippi State

So, why does he have Death Valley at No. 1 on his list? Doering says it’s the passion of the Tiger fans that is unmatched by any other SEC fan base:

“Highly intelligent fans, highly passionate and, most of the time, highly intoxicated, right?” he says in the video. “Especially with the night games there, under the lights. They are intense. It wasn’t a great setting when I played back in the mid-’90s, but nowadays they’ve given the LSU Tigers a huge advantage there.

Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Auburn fans, in particular, may have some beef with Doering after this list, but it’s true that each of these stadiums provides the home team with a big advantage.
