SEC Network analyst rates conference QBs on 'swag meter'
With the SEC offseason longer than usual, analysts are diving deeper than ever into offseason material.
On Tuesday, SEC Network analyst Matt Stinchcomb appeared on “SEC Now” with Alyssa Lang to rate seven conference quarterbacks on the “swag meter.”
Stinchcomb was high on newcomers, giving Colorado State transfer Collin Hill, now at South Carolina, the highest rating, a 9 out of 10. Stanford transfer KJ Costello, now at Mississippi State, checked in third with a 7, behind Kentucky QB Terry Wilson’s 8.
Last on Stinchcomb’s swag meter was LSU QB Myles Brennan with a score of 3. Stinchcomb’s full rankings can be seen below:
- Collin Hill – 9
- Terry Wilson – 8
- KJ Costello – 7
- D’Wan Mathis – 6
- Feleipe Franks – 5
- Bo Nix – 4
- Myles Brennan – 3

Apparently, Trask has no swag.
You’ve seen him play. Difficult to have swag when you can’t throw the ball downfield.
I think winning carries it’s own swag. Trask is a winner.
Is he? He never technically beat-out the hilariously mediocre Felipe Franks, not in three years, two under MuLLLen.
He hasn’t beaten us. Hasn’t beaten LSU. Hasn’t won anything truly important like even the division.
Soooooooo.
He beat South Carolina which UGA lost to, lost to UGA by a touchdown, was responsible for 29 touchdowns. Fromm, whom I consider a great SEC qb, had 24 td’s in 2 more games. His stats are better than most of the swag players on this list.
Soooo… yeah, he earned his swag. 9 wins is pretty good.
Our swag QB punking us out and our toxic culture precluded us from this list.
But isn’t it a great story for a 0-star that didn’t play much before last season?
So the top swag guy is a backup? Nice. Maybe we should let the teams play a few games before we start talking about swag.
I agree
