SEC Network analyst reveals his College Football Playoff top-4 rankings
The SEC has two teams in the top four of the AP Poll right now, with No. 1 Alabama and No. 4 Georgia both sporting 6-0 records.
However, as the first College Football Playoff rankings approach in a couple of weeks, it won’t be easy for the conference to keep two teams in the mix.
For now, though SEC Network analyst Cole Cubelic thinks the Crimson Tide and Bulldogs are both worthy of CFP spots, ranking them No. 1 and No. 4, respectively:
College Football Playoff Top 4 (if the CFP started today) according to @colecubelic:
1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Georgia
4. TCU— #CubeShow (@CubeShow) October 11, 2017
The other two teams, Clemson and TCU, are also undefeated this year, but Penn State and Washington (and Washington State) are all undefeated in major conferences, too.
Of course, this will all sort itself out over the next few weeks, but it’s interesting to see which teams get the benefit of the doubt if the season were to end today.
That will only help the four teams above as the season progresses.
