The top 2 teams in the SEC seem pretty straightforward through Week 6: It’s Georgia and Alabama.
But after that, you can put a few different teams in the mix. Ole Miss, LSU, Texas A&M, Mizzou, Kentucky and Tennessee are all realistically in the running for the next 3 in the conference, some with better cases than others.
We’re nearing the point where we have enough data to make legitimate cases for a true No. 3, 4 and 5. The crew at SEC Football Final on the SEC Network – Chris Doering, Benjamin Watson and Dari Nowkhah – each gave their picks following Week 6’s slate of games.
Here’s how it shakes out:
Chris Doering: Georgia, Alabama, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Kentucky
Dari Nowkhah: Georgia, Alabama, Ole Miss, LSU, Texas A&M
Benjamin Watson: Georgia, Alabama, LSU, Mizzou, Ole Miss
