Given the losses in the top four of the College Football Playoff rankings Saturday, and impending shakeups, there will be much debate about the new top four before it’s unveiled on Tuesday.

SEC Network analysts Chris Doering and Gene Chizik gave their own top six rankings Saturday night during the post-game show.

They agreed on the top six, and even both had Alabama at No. 1, but the order was different.

As the debate rages on, it will center on strength of schedule for undefeated teams like Miami and Wisconsin, and how the one-loss teams have rebounded, not to mention the “quality” of those losses.

Fortunately, perhaps, for the College Football Playoff committee and fans everywhere, much of this will work itself out on the field.

Alabama and Auburn will meet in the Iron Bowl in two weeks, and Miami and Clemson will meet in the ACC Championship Game. Wisconsin should also be tested down the stretch, although its schedule to date has drawn plenty of criticism.
