There are no wrong choices when it comes to picking games that interest you the most but former Florida standout receiver and current SEC Network analyst Chris Doering made some solid choices when picking the games he’s most looking forward to in the 2020 SEC season.

No surprise at the top of Doering’s list, as the game everyone will be talking about by the time the season arrives is Georgia’s upcoming trip to Alabama.

#1 Georgia at Alabama, Sept. 19

Current line per BetOnline: Georgia at Alabama (-7)

The Crimson Tide have beaten the Bulldogs five games in a row, with Georgia’s latest victory in the series coming back in 2007. Heading away from the friendly confines of Sanford Stadium for this matchup, at least Georgia fans can take solace in the fact that the 2007 matchup was in Tuscaloosa.

#2 Tennessee at Oklahoma, Sept. 12

Current line per BetOnline: Tennessee at Oklahoma (-7.5)

These two programs have only met four times and the Sooners have won the previous three matchups in the series. The 2015 game in Knoxville was a classic, with Oklahoma rallying to win 31-24 on Rocky Top.

#3 Texas at LSU, Sept. 12

Current line per BetOnline: Texas at LSU (-6)

LSU beat Texas on the road last season, 45-38, but the Tigers will have to win again this season to tie up the series with the Longhorns as Texas currently holds the 9-8-1 all-time edge in this series.

#4 Florida vs. Georgia, Oct. 31

Current line per BetOnline: Florida vs. Georgia (-1.5)

Georgia has won the previous three games in this series, although last year’s game, won 24-17, was the closest margin of victory during that run.

#5 Mississippi State at Ole Miss, Nov. 26

Mississippi State has won two Egg Bowls in a row and will be attempting to win three in a row for the first time since 2011. The first Egg Bowl featuring Lane Kiffin and Mike Leach should be must-see television.
