Everyone waits for Phil Steele’s preview magazine ahead of every season, and 2021 isn’t any different. Hopefully, we have a normal season this fall, including full stadiums and tailgates in SEC towns.

The college football insider and guru laid out his predictions ahead of the season, and this year, he has Alabama and Georgia winning the SEC West and East respectively. That’s not too much of a surprise, and he actually had those same predictions last year, too. As things played out, Florida ended up winning the Eastern Division and lost to Alabama in the SEC Championship Game.

This year, there aren’t too many surprises from Steele. He noted earlier that Ole Miss is the biggest surprise team in the SEC, while Tennessee gives him the most worries. Those are safe picks entering the season.

Here are Steele’s projected order of finish for both SEC divisions:

SEC East

#1 Georgia

#2 Florida

#3 Kentucky

#4 Missouri

#5 South Carolina

#6 Tennessee

#7 Vanderbilt

SEC West

#1 Alabama

#2 Texas A&M

#3 LSU

#4 Ole Miss

#5 Auburn

#6. Mississippi State

#7 Arkansas
