The SEC has produced more current NFL players than any other conference in America, and many of the Southeast’s former stars have continued to shine at football’s highest level.

Here are the best performances by SEC alums throughout the NFL in Week 12 action last weekend:

OFFENSE

  • Peyton Manning: The former Tennessee standout returns to our list as one of the top SEC performers in the NFL. He torched the Miami defense for 257 passing yards and four touchdowns. Manning continues on a torrid pace this season and already has 34 touchdowns on the season.
  • Eli Manning: The youngest Manning brother may have out-dueled Peyton in Week 12. He threw for 338 yards and three touchdowns in the Cowboys, en route to a 31-28 loss. Manning is quietly having one of his best seasons as a pro, despite the Giants’ poor first half of the season.
  • Eddy Lacy: Another week, another appearance on this list for Eddy Lacy. He recorded another 100-yard performance, racking up 125 rushing yards and one touchdown. As always, Lacy played a role in the passing game, too. He only caught two passes for 13 yards, but made them count with a receiving touchdown.
  • Odell Beckham: Even if the numbers weren’t very high, Beckham should make this list simply because of this ridiculous catch. But in addition to that jaw-dropping snag, Beckham recorded great numbers on Sunday Night Football. He led the Giants with 10 receptions for 146 yards and two touchdowns.
  • AJ Green: After dealing with injuries throughout the season, AJ Green finally broke the double-digit reception mark for the season. He didn’t reach the end zone, but his career-high 12 receptions for 121 yards played a huge role in Cincinnati’s win over Houston.
  • Jarvis Landry: The former LSU wideout continues to become a No. 1 target for Ryan Tannehill. Landry hauled in seven catches for 50 yards and two touchdowns to add to what has become a breakout rookie season.

DEFENSE

  • Joe Haden: The former Florida Gator backed up his great performance last week with another standout defensive job on one of the NFL’s best wide receivers. Haden held Julio Jones to just five receptions for 68 yards. He did beat Haden for a touchdown early in the game, but Haden recovered later on with an interception of his own.
  • Rolando McClain: McClain continues to be one of the better stories in the NFL this season as he has fully taken advantage of the second opportunity given to him by the Dallas Cowboys. He recorded 11 tackles against the Giants and is slowing becoming the player everyone thought he would be in the pros when he left college.
