The 2024 SEC football schedule is officially set. Opponents for all 16 teams were announced in June, but that’s only half of what makes a schedule. On Wednesday, the dates were revealed for all the conference games in a live special on ESPN and the SEC Network.

The 2024 season is the SEC’s first as a 16-team conference, with Oklahoma and Texas coming aboard. There will be no more SEC East and SEC West, but the conference is sticking with 8 conference games for the 2024 season. The model for 2025 and beyond regarding permanent rivals and rotating opponents has not yet been announced.

Week 1 is headlined by multiple marquee nonconference matchups. Conference play begins in Week 2 with South Carolina at Kentucky.

Wednesday night’s TV reveal was done week-by-week. It’s a 14-week regular season in 2024 with the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta on Dec. 7.
