The SEC has released its matchups for the 2024 football season — the first with Oklahoma and Texas as members of the league.
As previously announced, SEC teams in 2024 will play 8 conference games plus 1 required opponent from the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-12, or major independent during the 2024 season when the SEC becomes a 16-team conference.
It was also previously announced the SEC will eliminate divisions beginning in 2024. The SEC Championship Game will feature the top 2 teams in the conference standings at the end of the regular season.
The league says it made sure to get either Oklahoma or Texas on the schedule for each of the other 14 SEC schools in Year 1. The Sooners’ first trip through the SEC is headlined by a home game against Alabama and a trip to Death Valley to face LSU. Texas will host Georgia and renew its rivalry with Texas A&M in College Station.
Game dates and TV information will be released at a later date.
