SEC Shorts captures packed top 10 board meeting of SEC teams following Week 3

SEC Shorts continues to take stock of the SEC and college football following every weekend of the season. Week 3 led to the latest episode with the program taking stock of the AP Poll with a loaded boardroom of top 10 SEC teams.
When the latest AP Poll dropped on Sunday, the SEC claimed 6 of the top 7 spots, including the No. 1 overall spot in the country. However, Georgia has slipped from the pole position for the first time this season.
That led SEC Shorts to open the episode with some good-natured trolling of the Bulldogs inside the boardroom. The other top 10 teams joked with Georgia over a disastrous performance in a 1-point win over Kentucky.
“You are entering the Thunderdome of Kroger Field!” quipped Tennessee to a chorus of laughter.
Mizzou also claimed it was a “trash” performance, and that’s from a program that faced 2nd-and-59 in a surprisingly close game against Boston College. Meanwhile, Ole Miss expressed respect for Georgia letting Mark Stoops coach his way to the loss on his own.
Texas was the subject of a special portion of the top 10 meeting. The Longhorns, fresh off a new No. 1 ranking, claimed the top spot crown from Georgia while bracing for the Arch Manning hype train that is bound to hit top speeds this week.
While the top 10 teams complained about having to attend the board meeting, they were reminded that things could be worse. The segment concludes with Florida and Mississippi State leading the SEC’s “dumpster fire” meeting, complete with a visit from the grim reaper.
