SEC football is back in full swing, and that means the return of “SEC Shorts.”

Monday’s episode features a Monday morning water cooler conversation of SEC teams “dramatically overreacting” to Week 1 wins. The 11 teams that won their Week 1 contests are feeling optimistic about the rest of the season after collecting lopsided wins.

Multiple teams are notably high on their rushing attacks after winning the season openers. Kentucky thinks it might be the second-best team in the SEC East with the return of the Big Blue Wall. Mississippi State sees big numbers from the ground game ahead after 3 seasons of the Air Raid. Tennessee thinks its running back trio will split the Doak Walker Award.

There were, of course, 3 SEC losers in Week 1. South Carolina gets the most screen time of the losing teams. The Gamecock representative prefers Hellman’s mayonnaise to Duke’s, the sponsor of the kickoff classic with North Carolina. He also thinks the offense will be fine if the team limits opposing sacks to about 8 per game.

LSU accepts the loss to FSU while taking a dig at travel in the expanded ACC. And what about Florida?

Things turn dark when Florida finally shows up at the end. The UF representative wants to “burn it all” after the Gators lost 24-11 on the road at Utah.
