Not every SEC program has an established starter heading into 2019, but several certainly do.

Auburn is one that comes to mind that still needs to be decided during fall camp. Joey Gatewood and Bo Nix are the two in contention for the starting job.

The top two returning QBs are pretty well established. Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa leads the way, with Georgia’s Jake Fromm quickly following. Most project both Tagovailoa and Fromm will be first-round picks in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Pro Football Focus recently ranked the top five highest-graded returning QBs, and Tagovailoa led the way. Interestingly, Tennessee’s Jarrett Guarantano ranked second ahead of Fromm. LSU’s Joe Burrow and Texas A&M’s Kellen Mond rounded out the top five.

One signal caller who could find his way on this top five before the season is over is Florida’s Feleipe Franks. Franks grew tremendously under Dan Mullen, and the Gators QB could be in for a big season.

Mizzou’s Kelly Bryant is certainly another name worth watching. Bryant sat out 2018, and his return to the gridiron should be very intriguing.
