SEC Twitter reacts to Arik Gilbert’s decommitment from Florida, return to the portal

SEC Twitter is buzzing as Arik Gilbert is back on the market.

The former 5-star class of 2020 LSU signee backed off his transfer commitment to Florida on Sunday. He committed after UF’s spring semester enrollment deadline and had been expected to enroll during Summer A or B. Gilbert, from Marietta, Georgia, opted out during LSU’s 2020 season and then officially announced he was entering the NCAA transfer portal in early January.

The latest twist in the Gilbert saga has captured the attention of SEC football fans and media members, especially the Florida, Georgia and LSU fan/media communities.
