Earlier tonight, the Southeastern Conference handed out its weekly football honors to the top performers from this past week of SEC football.

Here are the following Week 13 award winners.

Offensive Player of the Week

Dak Prescott, QB, Mississippi State

The Heisman Trophy candidate had a tremendous first half against Vanderbilt. Dak Prescott threw for 196 yards and three touchdowns and also added 30 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown. Because of the blowout win, Prescott only played the first half, but still had a spectacular game nonetheless.

Defensive Player of the Week

Markus Golden, DE, Missouri

Move over Shane Ray. Fellow Missouri defensive end Markus Golden was dominant against the Tennessee Vols, recording two sacks, 2.5 tackles for loss, six tackles, two QB pressures and also recovered a fumble. Golden seemingly affected nearly every Tennessee possession and was unstoppable all game in Missouri’s crucial 29-21 win.

Special Teams Player of the Week

Sam Irwin-Hill, P, Arkansas

For the second straight week, a punter claims Special Teams Player of the Week honors. Arkansas’ Sam Irwin-Hill was essential in the Razorbacks winning the field position battle against Ole Miss. He punted six times for an average of 40.5 yards, including placing three punts inside Ole Miss’ 20-yard line.

Freshman of the Week

Nick Chubb, RB, Georgia

Can we just rename the Freshman of the Week award the “Nick Chubb award?” The Georgia running back continued his dominance, recording his sixth-consecutive 100-yard game. He averaged 12.6 yards per carry, despite playing just one half. He is one of just four SEC running backs to have more than 1,000 rushing yards on the season.

Offensive Lineman of the Week

Ben Beckwith, OL, Mississippi State

Beckwith led a strong offensive line performance against the Commodores. The senior graded out the highest of any offensive lineman at over 90 percent and also record three knockdowns.

Defensive Lineman of the Week

Darius Philon, DT, Arkansas

When you think of Arkansas’ defensive line, senior Trey Flowers is the name that usually comes to mind. But it was sophomore Darius Philon who stole the show in the Hogs’ win over Ole Miss. The defensive tackle recorded three tackles, one sack, forced a fumble and recovered a fumble.
