Announcements for the postseason awards and accolades are spinning at full tilt, and several SEC players and teams are well represented across the board.

That includes ESPN’s All-America team, which features a team-high four selections from the Crimson Tide.

On offense, Alabama WR Jerry Jeudy and OT Jonah Williams made the team, while DL Quinnen Williams and Deionte Thompson made it on defense. Other SEC players included Georgia’s Deandre Baker, Kentucky’s Josh Allen and LSU’s Devin White.

On special teams, P Braden Mann of Texas A&M, who won the Ray Guy Award as the nation’s top punter, and returner Mecole Hardman of Georgia were also recognized.

ESPN noted that Jeudy stepped into Calvin Ridley’s shoes as the Crimson Tide’s No. 1 receiver and quickly became QB Tua Tagovailoa’s favorite target this season. The sophomore caught 59 passes for 1,103 yards with 12 touchdowns, the most by an Alabama player since Amari Cooper had 16 in 2014.

Williams has started 42 consecutive games, including the past 27 at left tackle. He didn’t give up a sack in the regular season.

Allen was arguably the best defensive player in the country. A former two-star recruit, ESPN wrote, Allen was named SEC Defensive Player of the Year, won the Bronko Nagurski Award and Bednarik Award, and was runner-up for the Butkus Award. He ranks fourth in the FBS with 14 sacks, tied for 10th with 18½ tackles for loss and tied for first with five forced fumbles.

And linebacker was a strong position across the SEC, as White became the first LSU player and the third straight from the SEC to win the Butkus Award as the country’s top linebacker.

Baker, meanwhile, won the Jim Thorpe Award as the best defensive back in college football. According to PFF, Baker has been targeted fewer than four times per game, and opponents averaged only 4.1 yards while targeting him
