The NFL unveiled a new grassturf field for Super Bowl 57 between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles Sunday evening. And, to put it simply, it hasn’t had a warm reception.

Players are slipping and sliding all over the place, including a pitch to Miles Sanders that fell short and another from Skyy Moore. Eagles kicker Jake Elliot slipped during a kickoff, too. And that’s just the start of it.

Apparently, the new turf was designed at Oklahoma State university, and football fans across social media are flaming both the NFL and OK State for the field issues. Naturally, fans are being kind and understanding in the replies to their tweet endorsing it earlier Sunday afternoon.

Reminder, the NFL paid $800,000 for this specially designed turfgrass.
