Many sports fans have a love-hate relationship with sports business reporter Darren Rovell, who is perhaps most known for his Twitter activity.

CNN media reporter Brian Stelter has reported that Rovell is leaving ESPN to work for Action Network to cover the business of betting in addition to helping the company with its content strategy. Rovell has not yet commented on the news.

Rovell has worked for ESPN multiple times, including his current stint that began in 2012. He’s also worked for CNBC, and reported on non-business stories for ABC News.

Rovell typically reports on sports agents, endorsements and contracts, and often posts newspaper-style headlines following noteworthy games.

The Action Network was founded in October 2017 by The Chernin Group and is headquarterd in New York City.
