Sun Belt announcer incredulously compares ex-UF QB Treon Harris to Cam Newton
Evidently, a Sun Belt announcer/announcers compared former Florida quarterback Treon Harris’ football ability to Cam Newton’s on Thursday night during a game between Tennessee State and Georgia State.
Newton, of course, won the Heisman Trophy in 2010 and led Auburn to a national championship victory over Oregon.
Harris, on the other hand, transferred to Tennessee State in January after being suspended from Florida three times.
In two seasons, Harris completed 174 of his 346 pass attempts for around 2,700 yards with 18 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He also rushed for 570 yards and a trio of scores.
Announcer just compared Treon to Cam Newton 😭😭😭 and it wasn’t about getting kicked out of Florida, it was actual football ability

Treon Harris just led Tennessee State to a touchdown. Sun Belt announcers earlier compared him to Cam Newton. Welcome back, college football

Props to this anonymous announcer for having high expectations.
