5-Star WR lists 2 SEC teams in top 5
The SEC as a whole is used to getting five-star recruits on an annual basis. For Tennessee and Ole Miss, its chances of landing a prized prospect just increased.
Tee Higgins, a 6-foot-4 five-star wide receiver recruit for the class of 2017 went to Twitter last night as he narrowed his list of schools down to five.

Higgins’ list ranks Tennessee at No. 1, followed by Clemson, Ohio State and Florida State, with Ole Miss at No. 5. Higgins is an Oak Ridge, Tenn. native who ranks as the No. 3 wide receiver recruit in the class of 2017, the No. 1 player within the state of Tennessee and is the No. 16 player overall, according to 247sports.com.
Higgins decommitted from Tennessee this past February, but UT still looks to be the favorite.
It’s easy to see why Higgins is a five-star prospect:

Come on to ole miss and be a first rounder there isn’t anyone at Tennessee to throw to you.
I have to agree with you, Shea will be one of the bess passers in the country come his time. I think he has a chance to be one of the best SEC passers ever. I know that is bold, but he looks like he has all the tools.
And he has plenty of money
Obviously you said that to get a rise out of TN fans and no one is taking the bait. TN already knows they have the #1 QB in the SEC this year with a promising contender for next years red shirt freshmen.
And as far as Alabama..where i think its safe to say that their time has come and gone. I predict, like Ole Miss, Alabama wont even finish in the top 10 this year.
LMAO…Their time has come an gone. Based on what? 4 of the last 7 NCs? Back to back SEC titles? Please enlighten us on how their time has come and gone…
You cannot be serious , I am no bama fan but even I know better than that !!! The fact you even posted that is rediculous
He is a UT homer. He thought the Vols was going to win the East last season…
UT better take out a bank loan to get him away from UM.
Who’s going to throw to him at OM after the death penalty?
They won’t get the death penalty , I loathe everything about Ole Miss , but the NCAA is not going to give them the death penalty for this after slapping Penn State on the wrist for what their assistant coach was doing to children !!!
I believe he wants to stay home and be a Vol, but is concerned by our passing game. He has the tools to be an Elite receiver and doesn’t want his talent to go unnoticed in an offense that runs the ball 70% of the time. I also believe Hunter Johnson (QB) decommitted for the same reason, we don’t throw the ball enough for him to showcase his skills. Its obviously a big year for the Vols, if we don’t start winning big, and show a balanced offense, recruiting will start to decline rapidly. I expect Higgins’ decision to come down to the wire.
I think that this is a logical statement. As a top tier WR, I would be concerned about UT’s lack of commitment to the passing game. Dobbs is a very good QB and could be great this season, but I think he has plateaud at this point in his career. Granted TN has some potential in the back-ups (i think a 5* and a 4*) The problem is that these guys will only be as good as a run first offense will allow them to be.
Tennessee’s offense wouldn’t be as run oriented if Dobbs wasn’t the QB. The coaches have to dictate the offense around the personnel they have. UT has one of the best running QB’s in the country, if not the best, who possesses marginal passing ability. So, obviously they are going to run the ball most of the time with Dobbs. With Dormady coming in next year and Guarantano the year after and hopefully Lawrence the year after that, Tennessee’s offense will include a lot more passing plays.
Dobbs won’t be his QB if he commits to UT. Dormady is a pass first QB and will prob be the starter next year, and then he has the #1 Dual-Threat QB in Guarantano for at least the next two years after that. Patterson is a great talent, but UT will not be short on really good QB play either.
When choosing between UT and Ole Miss, he’ll have to weigh the very likely possibility of Ole Miss being banned from post season play his 1st two yrs vs the size of his signing bonus from them. Decisions, decisions……….
touche’…
What some Jackasses in here!!!!
Tbh, some of y’all Rebel fans had this coming. Not all of y’all but a select few.
How much we paying this one?
I hope we offer enough he looks like randy moss type talent. Hate to see him go to Tennessee and get a major in rape
I’m going to have to agree with keno here. We have a natural leader in Dobbs. He can and has carried the team. He just isn’t a gun slinger. I admit he can improve his passing. Deboard came in and his passing went down because of adopting a new offense and I believe that it’s not unreasonable that he would improve in his precision and decision making with the ball. Our passing game will be good enough and we have some good qbs waiting in the wings. Dobbs leadership abilities are why he is still captain of the ship.
Seatonda lay off that koolaid or you’ll get diabetes.
Prediction: Dobbs totally crumbles this year ,gets benched by the third game ,after UT goes 2-1,barely squeaking out a win against Ohio.UtT ends up being only an afterthought by week 6.
