Tennessee is a big underdog against Georgia in Week 12, according to the lookahead line released by FanDuel this week.

The Bulldogs are favored by 8.5 points over Tennessee, as of Friday afternoon. That line will surely change pending the results of Week 11, but it’s an interesting snapshot of how the betting markets view Tennessee and Georgia about 8 days before their head-to-head matchup in Athens.

Tennessee and Georgia each have 1 loss so far this season, so they both remain in good position to reach the College Football Playoff. However, that could change this weekend. The Bulldogs are particularly vulnerable, as they’re favored by less than a field goal in Week 11 against Ole Miss on the road.

By contrast, Tennessee is a major favorite this weekend against Mississippi State. The matchup against Georgia may be Tennessee’s final top-25 game of the season depending on whether or not Vanderbilt can stick in the top-25 until Week 14.

Georgia has dominated this series in recent years. The Bulldogs have won 7 in a row over their former SEC East foes, with Tennessee’s last win over UGA coming way back in 2016.

Kickoff for that game is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday night.
