As expected, there’s a new No. 1 in the land following Kentucky’s impressive 86-69 destruction of Tennessee in Lexington over the weekend.

Not only are the Volunteers no longer the top-ranked team in the nation, but they are also no longer the highest ranked team in the Southeastern Conference following the weekend result. Duke jumped back up to No. 1 in the latest AP poll followed by Gonzaga and Virginia, with Kentucky and Tennessee rounding out the top five.

Following a Tuesday win at Kentucky, LSU has risen six spots, up to No. 13 nationally in the poll. No other SEC teams are ranked this week in the AP poll.

Auburn (21), Mississippi State (2) and Ole Miss (1) are all listed in the “others receiving votes” category.

SEC team ranked in the new AP poll:

#4 Kentucky (up 1 spot)

#5 Tennessee (down 4 spots)

#13 LSU (up 6 spots)
