During the Nick Saban era, fans of schools that were feeling good about themselves would call out the Crimson Tide. “We Want Bama” chants and signs were common at big games.

Now, Georgia is the class of the college football world. Recent years have seen some “We Want Georgia” signs, but Texas fans took it in a different direction on Saturday.

During a blowout win over UTSA, a Texas fan was shown on camera holding up a “Georgia Wants Us!” sign on his phone:

Put aside for a second the fact that this fan was holding up a sign on his phone. Apparently that’s a thing now? It doesn’t seem effective, since the phone screen is so small, but the FOX cameras captured it, so I guess it works?

But I digress. Texas has yet to play an official SEC game. The phrase “be careful what you wish for” comes to mind.

The Longhorns have every right to be feeling good about themselves though. Despite several key injuries, Texas continues to roll. Meanwhile, Georgia has its hands full with Kentucky on Saturday night in Lexington.

Georgia and Texas are set to square off in Austin on Oct. 19 in what could be the game of the year in college football.
