Avoiding penalties can be a key to victory in college football, ask Auburn about it. If they saw a little less laundry on the field against LSU on Saturday, they surely would have won their first SEC matchup.

Cfbstats came out with a list of the SEC’s leaders in penalties so far in 2018.

1.Georgia- 4.7 penalties per game for 141 total yards.

2. Missouri- 5.3 penalties per game for 151 total yards.

3. Tennessee- 5.7 penalties per game for 132 total yards.

3. Florida- 5.7 penalties per game for 150 total yards.

5. Vanderbilt- 6.0 penalties per game for 153 total yards.

5. Texas A&M- 6.0 penalties per game for 182 total yards.

5. South Carolina- 6.0 penalties per game for 139 total yards.

8. Arkansas- 6.7 penalties per game for 170 total yards.

9. Mississippi State- 7.3 penalties per game for 179 total yards.

10. Alabama- 7.3 penalties per game for 206 total yards.

10. Kentucky- 7.3 penalties per game for 221 total yards.

10. LSU- 7.3 penalties per game for 237 total yards.

13. Ole Miss- 8.0 penalties per game for 191 total yards.

14. Auburn- 8.3 penalties per game for 252 total yards.
