Despite how many players get embarrassed messing up touchdowns by showing off at the goal line, it continues to happen in college and the NFL.

Former Ole Miss standout D.K. Metcalf is the latest player to mess up what should have been a touchdown. In the Seattle-Dallas game, Metcalf had Cowboys defensive back Trevon Diggs beat on a deep ball from Russell Wilson. Metcalf hauled it in and had an easy touchdown, but Metcalf wanted to walk it in instead of run.

Diggs had other plans. The former Alabama defensive back maintained pursuit and was able to turn the 62-yard reception into a touchback.
