Tim Brando updates his top 10 rankings, including an upset team from Saturday
Fox Sports broadcaster Tim Brando has updated his latest top 10 rankings a week after one team from last week fell in a major upset on Saturday.
Brando had Iowa State at No. 6 last week before its loss to the Louisiana Rajun Cajuns. He rewarded the Rajun Cajuns by putting them in this week’s ranking at No. 10.
Brando left his top four unchanged, with Clemson, Alabama, Oklahoma and LSU, which presumably means he pegs them for the College Football Playoff. Texas also moved up two spots from last week following a win over UTEP.
Notably, Brando kept up to date with the latest chatter around the Big 10. “Should the BIG10 decide to play I’ll adjust my TOP10, until then The G5 deserves credit.”
As this is the last week before the SEC starts, there is expected to be plenty of shakeup for Brando going forward. He has certainly showed in the past a willingness to be a contrarian with Group of 5 teams if he can make an argument that they belong. He will surely keep an eye on Sun Belt teams if they continue their winning ways.
