Spring is just around the corner, and that means baseball will be starting up soon.

MLB pitchers and catchers will be reporting to spring training soon and position players immediately thereafter. It also means that Tim Tebow will be embarking on another professional season in his quest to make it to the major leagues.

The New York Mets announced Thursday that Tebow will start spring training with the Mets major league squad as a non-roster invitee. This won’t be Tebow’s first spring training with the big league team; he did the same last year, but he didn’t fare too well. He finished 1-for-18 with 11 strikeouts, and he was one of the first demoted. He certainly hopes things go better in 2019.

Tebow is entering his third professional season with the Mets. Last year in Double-A, he hit .273 with six bombs before his season was cut short due to a hand injury.
