Tommy Tuberville is in his first season as an analyst on college football games for ESPN.
But the former Auburn and Ole Miss coach is expected to explore future employment options after this season, and before speaking to the Northwest Arkansas Touchdown Club, he told Bo Mattingly in an interview that he’s keeping all options open.
While there appears to be more than a couple SEC head coaching positions open this cycle, Tuberville may have his pick of jobs around the country as the coaching carousel spins.
Tuberville had a 10-year stint at Auburn, and along with head coaching stops at Ole Miss, Texas Tech and Cincinnati, he has a career record of 159-99 (.616) in 21 seasons. Tuberville got to the booth following a 4-8 season – the worst of his career – at Cincinnati last year, which led to his resignation.
Tuberville: I’m going to do something. Whether it’s ESPN, or possibly being an athletic director, and I’m not going to rule out coaching.
