TEAM OPPONENT MILES TRAVELED
Missouri  Georgia 734
Alabama  Texas A&M 630
Florida  LSU 588
Auburn  Kentucky 484
 Vandy  S. Carolina 442
Ole Miss  Memphis  72

Traveling Tigers: Missouri’s 734-mile trek to Georgia this week is its longest and arguably most difficult remaining road trip. After Saturday night’s game in Athens, Mizzou still has to play at Vanderbilt (431 miles) on Oct. 24th and then caps its road slate at Arkansas (294) on Nov. 27th.

Crimson Ride: Alabama’s next opponent — Texas A&M, which is 630 miles from Tuscaloosa — could be its toughest. The Crimson Tide, which plays host to LSU on Nov. 7, has upcoming trips to Mississippi State (82 miles) on Nov. 14th and Auburn (156) on Nov. 28th.

Later, Gators: What a tough week for Florida. Not only do the Gators have to travel 588 miles to face Leonard Fournette and LSU this week, they will do so without suspended starting quarterback Will Grier. Florida’s road finale is at South Carolina (358 miles) on Nov. 14th.

Test for Tigers: It’s a good thing that Auburn was on a bye last week because three of the Tigers’ next four games are on the road, starting with this week’s 484-mile trip to Kentucky. Auburn, which still has to play at Arkansas (695 miles) on Oct. 24th, caps its road slate at Texas A&M (747) on Nov. 7.

Hard Road Ahead: Vanderbilt still has four road games left, starting with this week’s 442-mile jaunt to South Carolina. The Commodores still have to go to Houston (779 miles) on Halloween, Florida (577) on Nov. 7 and Tennessee (179) on Nov. 28.

Short & Sweet? Mississippi’s 72-mile trip to Memphis this week is its shortest trek of the season, but it won’t be easy, because the Tigers (5-0) have won 12 straight games. The Rebels also still have games at Auburn (295 miles) on Halloween and at Mississippi State (97.5) on Nov. 28.
