One of the more noteworthy transfers of the offseason is former UAB defensive tackle Tony Fair, who has narrowed his list of schools to three.

Ole Miss, Auburn and Purdue made the cut for Fair, who is from South Bend, Indiana, and is listed at 6-foot-3 and 335 pounds. Last season, he played in all nine games with three starts. He made 21 tackles on the season, including three tackles for a loss and a sack. He also recovered a fumble.

In 2019, he had 36 tackles, five tackles for a loss, a sack, two forced fumbles and two quarterback hurries. He had a career-high six tackles against Rice and at Tennessee, and also posted a career best two tackles for a loss against the Vols.

At Auburn, Fair would join a defensive tackle mix that also includes Marquis Burks, Tyrone Truesdell, Dre Butler, Lee Hunter and J.J. Pegues in coordinator Derek Mason’s 3-4 scheme.
