Updated NET rankings for all 14 SEC basketball teams heading into weekend schedule
The NCAA Tournament committee is using a new metric to rank college basketball teams this year called the NET rankings.
If you have heard analysts discussing quadrant wins this season, such as quadrant 1 wins, quadrant 2 wins, etc., this is a tool that is utilized to help come up with the NET rankings. The rankings are updated daily and give an idea of how the tournament committee ranks each team nationally.
There are only a few games remaining in the regular season before we get to the league tournament and eventually the NCAA Tournament, meaning several SEC teams only have a few opportunities remaining to improve their stock heading into selection Sunday.
Here’s a look at the SEC’s weekend basketball schedule:
- Tennessee at LSU, Noon ET on ESPN
- Auburn at Kentucky, 1:30 p.m. ET on CBS
- Georgia at Ole Miss, 3:30 p.m. ET on SEC Network
- Missouri at Florida, 4 p.m. ET on ESPNU
- Vanderbilt at Alabama, 6 p.m. ET on ESPNU
- South Carolina at Mississippi State, 6 p.m. ET on SEC Network
- Texas A&M at Arkansas, 8:30 p.m. ET on SEC Network
Here is how all 14 league teams currently rank according to NET:
