In a press conference on Wednesday night, Ohio State announced that Urban Meyer had been suspended three games and released their findings from the internal investigation that was tasked with looking into the handling of allegations against former assistant coach Zach Smith.

One of the most interesting findings of the report was a text that Shelley Meyer sent her husband the day Smith was fired.

One of the focal parts about this scandal is Meyer’s correspondence with his wife and how much he knew.

Shelley was in touch with Smith’s wife, Courtney, who alleged multiple instances of domestic violence against her husband and also sent pictures of bruises.

This text seems to indicate that coach Meyer certainly had knowledge of Smith’s behavior toward his wife, which makes Ohio State’s decision even more baffling.
