Back in 2011, between leaving Florida and taking the Ohio State job, Urban Meyer worked as a college football analyst at ESPN. Now, he doesn’t seem to think too highly of one aspect of ESPN’s college football coverage.
Mike Hall of the Big Ten Network tweeted about a recent interview with Meyer, now an analyst at FOX, and shared a jab Meyer took at his former employer:
At one point talked about this year doing tv, he says “I had fun – turns out folks wanna talk about football, they don’t want to see jumpin’ in lakes or goin on rollercoasters”
ESPN analyst Pac McAfee memorably jumped in a river on “College GameDay” last month:
Last time I allegedly did what I’m about to do I ended up in a jail cell 🗣LETS GOOO @CollegeGameDay pic.twitter.com/bk3FolesBL

Just interviewed Urban Meyer. At one point talked about this year doing tv, he says “I had fun – turns out folks wanna talk about football, they don’t want to see jumpin’ in lakes or goin on rollercoasters”
…
…I feel I may know what he was alluding to.

If Meyer ever works for the folks in Bristol again, it’s safe to assume it won’t be on GameDay.
