For sportsbooks, it’s never too early to start taking bets on the national championship.

When the Las Vegas Superbook released its odds for the winner of the Jan. 13, 2020 national championship game (2019 season) Alabama was the favorite with 3/2 odds. Clemson followed at 7/2. In the SEC, Georgia was behind Alabama at 12/1, with Florida at 25/1 followed by LSU, Mississippi State and Auburn each at 50/1.

Now that spring practice is in the books, the lines have moved. Alabama is now at 5/2 with Clemson at 2/1. Georgia’s odds are down to 7/1 while Florida has moved to 40/1. LSU and Auburn each moved to 20/1 while Mississippi State is now 100/1.

Texas A&M’s odds have moved from 80/1 to 50/1. South Carolina’s odds are still 300/1. Mizzou opened at 300/1 and is now off the board due to the postseason ban. Tennessee remains a 300/1 bet. Kentucky, Ole Miss and Arkansas are each 1000/1 bets. Vanderbilt is at 5000/1.
